Mimiko to Distribute Free Agric Input to Ondo Farmers

The Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko will tomorrow (Wednesday) perform the flag off ceremony of the distribution of  multi million Naira worth of farm input to farmers across the 18 local government areas of the state.
In a statement issued in Akure on Tuesday by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, the event was moved to Wednesday fromThursday which it was originally slated to hold.
According to the statement, the  flag off will be performed by the Governor at Oladejo Matins, Akinnifemi Memorial hall, Bolorundoro in Ondo -East, even as  farmers in the state are expected to visit the farm service centres in their respective local governments with  their smart card otherwise known as Kaadi Igbeayo to partake of  the government largesse.
The statement emphasized that the distribution will take place in the 18 local government areas simultaneously  with the flag-off in Bolorunduro, adding however that the distribution will be sustained beyond the flag off day.
Slated for distribution  to complement the Agriculture hardware the farmers will get are Surgicides, herbicides, fish feeds,  fish nets and iron files among others.
