The Nigeria Lottery Trust Fund Executive Secretary, Bello Maigari has pledged his support for Sponsorship of Gymnastics in Nigeria.
The Executive Secretary,made the promise on Friday when he hosted TIG Gymnasts who represented Nigeria at the Africa Level System in Pretoria,South Africa in August.
Maigari, promised to continue to support the game, so that they can continue to excel by bringing laurels to the country. He added that National Lottery Trust Fund has always support sports development in Nigeria.
“We shall continue to support gymnastics and shall not deny them whenever they knock on our doors for assistance.Gymnastic is also a sports that is highly ranked in the Olympics, it is a competitive game and I am happy to share with you of your achievement. We in the trust fund, will continue to support you so that you win laurels to Nigeria. These kids will grow in game and become famous, the sky will always be their limit.National Lottery Trust Fund will continue to Support Coach Tony and your kids.This your home,you play ground anytime you need us the doors is always open,we will not fail you.”
Responding,the leader of the delegation and a Board Member of the Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria, Anthony Asuquo appreciated the Nigeria Lottery Trust Fund for their support and thanked the government agency for fulfilling their promises.
“I am very happy because they are the first government agency that gave training equipment to encourage children in school and now supporting a sport called gymnastics that can fetch Nigeria more than 30 medals in any Championship. So, if we can invest in gymnastics, no doubt, Nigeria will win more medals in All African Games,Olympics among others.” Asuquo stated.
The Africa Level System Competition is an annual Inter Club Gymnastic game hosted by the University of Pretoria,South Africa.Nigeria Gymnast won 22 medals.This includes:9 Gold,11 Silver and 2 Bronze.
