We condole with the good people of Borno State, and the families of the deceased who lost their lives at the Rann IDP camp over what the Military termed as Accidental Bomb Shell targeted at terrorist but killed innocent Internal Displaced Persons and aide workers who were catering for the IDPs.

It is rather sad and worrisome that the deaths occurred when the deceased who had already gone through hell, and have been severely traumatized in the hands of Boko Haram Insurgents for over 2 years and ended up being killed by the Nigerian army who are supposed to protect them at the camp that served as their shied and fortress.

The accidental shell could have been avoided if the Federal Government led by President Buhari pays attention to updated Military trainings for our officers, procurement of modern miliwares rather than their usual business of lies, propaganda and blame game with #Dasukigate who he has refused to allow testify, clear his name in the open court.

We urge the families of the deceased to take heart for this irreplaceable loss and gruesome deaths of their beloved ones, the Nigerian Wailers are with them at this time of national grief.

We therefore call on the Senate, House of Reps and other International Agencies to wade in and probe what the army termed as accidental shell on the IDP Camp in Rann, every lives of Nigerians matters and investigations should be conducted into what led to that fatal error so as to avert future occurrence.

There are lots of insinuations in the Nigerian public that, if the aides workers who escaped death were not present to report the case to the media, the army could have twisted the story that it was Boko Haram that overran the camp, we are also aware that over times, several deaths or bombing has been happening in the IDP camps across the states, the probe and investigation should unravel the truth behind the accident bombing to forestall future error.

We also call on President Muhammadu Buhari who was at one time a Military Head of State to equip the Navy, Army and other forces with required Trainings and equipments that will prevent accidental discharge and shell capable of wiping off large numbers of Nigerians, it is our belief that if it can happen in Borno, it can as well happen in any other parts of Nigeria.

This is a very costly mistake by NAF, however, Those calling for Senate probe should know that nothing will come out of it. They speak as if that’s how our senate is reliable and responsible.
