by on February 28, 2017

The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, yesterday, declared that there is no indigenes and settlers in the state contrary to what some people somewhere made others to feel.

The governor made the declaration at the one day seminar organised by the state Chamber of Commerce as part of activities marking the on-going 38 International Trade fair.

He cited Madam Muheeba Dankaka, an indigene of Kwara and Kano States who are currently the President of Kaduna State Chamber of Commerce without discrimination to justify his declaration.

“We don’t have indigene and settlers in Kaduna state. The president of Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Muheeba Dankaka, was introduced as a person from Kwara or originally Kano but here she is sitted with us.

“Because she was born in Kaduna and grew up here, she is a Kaduna citizen. Consequently, she is here sitting as the President of the chamber of commerce”.
