Nothing Special About Egypt, We will Win – Etebor

Super Eagles caretaker coach, Samson Siasia has insisted that Nigeria should not be written off for the 2017 Africa Nations Cup (AFCON) in Gabon, after the Super Eagles 1-1 draw with Egypt at the Ahmadu Bello stadium last Friday.
Nigeria, which earlier trailed two points behind the North Africans needed a win from the match to remain in contention for the group G ticket, but were forced to a score draw by the Pharaohs, and Siasia has insisted that the draw though an unfortunate one does not mean that his team is out of contention.
Also in the position with his coach is new Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebor, who blamed the lack of concentration from the Eagles as responsible for the Egyptians late equalizer.
Etebor who scored Nigeria’s only goal at the match insisted that there was nothing special with the Egyptians, adding that they can be beaten in Egypt if the team can organize itself.
“We were just unlucky today. You can see that we played better than them. It is a painful thing that we could not win the game. It was just hard luck and lack of concentration. How can we concede a goal at that very last minute of the match.
“But I strongly believe that it is not lost. We can go to their place and win them. There is nothing too special about Egypt. We have seen them here and I know that if they can come here and play this way, who says they are not beatable at home. We all need to put our selves together and we can make it”. Etebor assured.
