NPFL Goal machine, Stephen Odey turns to Sweden

by on August 2, 2017
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) hotshot, Stephen Odey, is now looking at moving to Sweden after perennial Scottish champions Celtic cooled on interest for the MFM FC star.
Odey has netted 18 goals thus far this season and Celtic has been one of several European clubs who were keen to sign him for the new season.
However, the Glasgow giants have called off any move for the 19-year-old Odey.
“Celtic has lost interested because MFM FC has not acted professionally,” a top source said.
The latest information regarding the future of Odey, who is currently in the CHAN Eagles training camp in Kano, is that he is now exploring a possibility in Sweden after the fiasco with Danish club Midtjylland recently.
It was further understood that the transfer window in Sweden will close on August 11, meaning that Odey will be racing against time to beat this deadline.
And this is against the backdrop that title chasers MFM FC want him to finish the season, which is billed to end on September 3.
