NPFL ROUNDUP | FC Ifeanyi Ubah spanks Katsina Unit­ed as MFM, Akwa put pressure on Plateau


Plateau United’s lead at the top of the NPFL has been cut to only two points af­ter they lost 0-1 at El Kanemi as second-placed MFM FC beat ABS FC 2-1 at home .

Meanwhile, FC Ifeanyi Ubah yesterday rediscovered their wining steaks when they defeated the visiting Katsina United 2-0 at the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium in an NPFL match day 27 fixture in Nnewi.

The Anambra Warriors started the match on a high tempo, forcing the visitors to concede five quick corners kick in three minutes.

Akwa United also pressed forward their title creden­tials with a slim 1-0 home win against Enyimba.

Plateau United fell to a stop­page time strike by Sunday An­thony in Maiduguri. However, the Jos club stays top on 48 points from 27 matches, while MFM FC now have 46 points.
