Members of Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have been admonished against indiscipline in the party.
Chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin, who handed the warning on Wednesday at the party’s secretariat in Akure, the Ondo State capital, emphasized that no one is bigger than the party.
This was contained in a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, where stated that the chairman urged members of the party to close ranks, and work together in the interest of the party.
Kalejaye maintained that the state chapter would not condone any act of indiscipline from its members.
According to him, Adetimehin stated this when he received delegation of leaders of various political parties from Akure North Local Government Area, who hinted on their plan to defect to the ruling party.
He said, “The party is bigger than any individual or group. I expect, therefore, that everyone must subject himself to the dictates of the party for its overall development.”
The party chieftain argued that the strength of every political party lies in the ability of its members to subsume personal interest and emphasis that of the party.
“We must learn to work together and observe the laid down organisational ways of doing things,” he stressed.
