Ohimai Godwin Amaize, a prominent youth icon and Special Adviser on Media Strategy to Senator Musiliu Obanikoro on Monday took Kayode Ogundamisi to the cleaners over the latter’s tweet falsely ascribing a comment to Bishop David Oyedepo.
Ogundamisi, a leading supporter of the Buhari campaign on social media had tweeted on Sunday about Bishop Oyedepo reportedly threatening to “open the gates of hell” on anyone who opposes President Goodluck Jonathan during the President’s visit on Sunday to Bishop Oyedepo’s sprawling 50,000 capacity worship auditorium in Canaan Land, Ota, Ogun State.
“We will open the gate of hell on those who oppose you” Bishop David Oyedepo to President Jonathan as GEJ visits Winners Chapel.

Immediately Ogundamisi’s tweet hit the social media, it went viral with mixed reactions from a wide section of Nigerians, some of who attacked Bishop Oyedepo for what they described as his overly partisan and insensitive approach to the 2015 elections. Unsuspecting Nigerians had been fooled by Ogundamisi into believing that Bishop Oyedepo actually uttered the remarks. Nigeria’s leading blogger, Linda Ikeji had also published the story based on Ogundamisi’s tweet which gave the reckless propaganda further traction.

However, as video footages from President Jonathan’s visit to Canaan Land have shown, at no point did Bishop Oyedepo, the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, make the said comment falsely attributed to him by Ogundamisi.

In a set of tweets on Monday, Amaize, popularly known as Mr. Fix Nigeria, took Ogundamisi to the cleaners, scolding him severely for falsely accusing Bishop Oyedepo.
Below are Ohimai’s tweets:
I have watched the video clip where Bishop David Oyedepo and the entire Winners family prayed for President Jonathan. @ogundamisi LIED.

If @ogundamisi has a family or anyone he respects, he should be called to order. At his age, he is a disgrace to anything honorable.

I respect @ThisIsBuhari as an elder statesman. But people like @ogundamisi are destroying every fibre of decency left in his campaign.

In the space of one week, @ogundamisi tweeted a fake picture from APC Kano rally and then lied against Bishop David Oyedepo. In one week.
