by on May 13, 2019

The outgoing Governor of IMO State Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been accused of squandering whatever remained of IMO scarce resources on frivolous Documentary advertisements in prime Television Stations in Nigeria despite having just about two weeks left in office.

A Sociopolitical organization, IMO Patriotic Union for Good Governance IPUGG has described the action by the Governor as a desperate plot to launder his battered image even when such wasteful adventure will not shore up his already damaged political future.

Speaking to Journalists in Owerri,Chairman of IPUGG Dr Cosmos Onyeocha said it was disheartening by an outgoing Governor to engage in a binge of Documentary advertisements that runs into Billions of Naira when IMO workers are yet to receive salaries for the month of February, including those who work with him in Government House.

Dr Onyeocha alleged that Okorocha has embarked on this wasteful project in a bid to attract attention and sympathy from some gullible Nigerians in the quest for his dream to contest for the 2023 Presidential election which is now a mirage.

“Okorocha is pursuing this wasteful venture that is draining IMO State tax payers just to massage his ego and live in a the illusion that he performed excellently well in office so that he could be considered for APC Presidential ticket in 2023” Dr Onyeocha said.

However, the IPUGG Chairman hinted that Okorocha is pursuing an unachievable dream as all Nigerians knew how he failed to manage IMO resources in eight years, which he converted to a personal fund and therefore can not be given the slightest chance to near Nigerian presidency or any position of trust.
“Okorocha was a total failure as a Governor of IMO State so how can he be allowed by Nigerians to be their President after they saw how managed IMO affairs? Even if he spends all IMO resources on Documentary he still remains a failure” IPUGG Boss maintains.

He therefore called on President Mohammadu Buhari,APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshimole and all well- Nigerians to caution Okorocha to stop wasting IMO funds on frivolous Documentaries since the outgoing Governor has just has two weeks left in office.
” Do you know how much it takes to run such documentaries in Television Stations for just a minute? Of what purpose are these expensive Advertisements for Okorocha at this last minute he is leaving office except to waste IMO scarce resources? ” IPUGG Boss queries.
