Unbelievable things are surely unfolding in the PDP at the national level as it concerns Ondo state and its imminent election.
Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, maverick businessman and politician took the joke of his candidacy a notch higher recently when he claimed he has a form from the INEC.
The truth is that INEC has never given, and I doubt if it will ever give, out forms to individuals! Extant laws have not recognized private candidacy or independent candidacy! Only the party can get a form from INEC for its candidate.
Jimoh Ibrahim’s followers must know that INEC does not give forms to individual candidates. What form is Jimoh Ibrahim now carrying around?
If he is to be believed, he is now the candidate of the PDP. But joke also must be sane and believable sometimes. How can a man deceive himself this much?
Our feelers are that not even Senator Alli Modu Sheriff has approached INEC for a form for its candidate. We have it on good authority that the Appeal Committee of the Senator Alli Modu Sheriff group has not submitted its report. Which means, the faction is yet to take a final decision on who its candidate is.
Where then did our man get his blank form from?
And looking deeper at the form, it has no serial number, it is blank. It is definitely fake!
Obviously this is another fraudulent process from a man whose ability to tell the truth has always been questioned.
Also he has thrown to the public a “Certificate of Return” allegedly given to him by the Sheriff faction. One is forced to ask: since the Appeals Committee of the Sheriff faction has not decided on the candidate of the faction, where did Jimoh Ibrahim get his Certificate of Return? This looks like another scam from a man whose bag of tricks is never empty?
When will this man be real?
