The Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Ogun state chapter, has arrested the General Overseer of the God’s Favour Ministry, Iba, Lagos state, Daniel Onwugbufor, and an accomplice, Israel Animashaun, for alleged car snatching.

Onwugbufor and Animashaun were arrested on February 1 after the police traced a stolen car to the pastor, Premium Times reports. Speaking with journalists on Sunday, the Ogun state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that during interrogation, Animashaun confessed that he and two others snatched the vehicle at gun point in Ajah, Lagos state, and took it to the pastor who helps them sell such stolen items. Oyeyemi said the pastor earlier denied knowing that Animasaun was an armed robber later confessed and blamed his action on the devil.

Oyeyemi said: “Their efforts paid off when one of the snatched car, a Lexus RX 330 SUV, was tracked down to the pastor at his Iba residence consequence upon which the pastor was promptly arrested. This arrest led to the apprehension of Animashaun who is an active member of a three-man gang of armed robbery syndicate specialised in snatching of exotic cars at gun point.

“He stated further that the pastor only paid him the sum of N350,000 for the car after using it for two weeks before he sent it to his other accomplice in Onitsha who is still at large. He also informed the police that he once robbed somebody of a Galaxy Samsung handset which the pastor bought for N35, 000 from him.

“He (the pastor) informed the police that the snatched Jeep has been sent to his accomplice in Onitsha but promised to work with the police to get the said accomplice arrested. Efforts are ongoing to get the Onitsha based accomplice arrested. ”

This shouldn’t be coming with extreme surprise and I have said it before that those using the good name of the church for rubbish are soon going to be exposed. Evil despite who is involved can’t be covered for too long. Therefore when will people stop engaging in wicked practices, to embrace the light of God embedded in the scripture. The truth that makes us free.

These men called themselves not God Almighty. He whom the LORD calls,He trains him with the natural circumstances of this life for such to know that his life does not depend on the abundance of his possessions. He is called to fix his mind on heavenly things not earthly, his satisfaction is from above not earthly, but unfortunately what we see these days on those who claimed they are men of God is the reverse case. They live such a luxurious life style that one cannot imagine a man of God living. They preach prosperity, sowing seed offering, tithes paying and other things they are not lead to preach or do instead of focusing their preaching on the salvation of souls which Christ Jesus came for, lived for and died for. Their god is their belly and in their shame and disgrace. Woe unto them!
