Pictures of Angry Youths Burning Senator Kabiru Gaya’s House

by on May 12, 2016

A group of angry youths in Kano state on Wednesday stormed houses belonging to their Senator and member of the House of Representatives, destroying them in the process after accusing the lawmakers of failing to fulfil their electoral promises.

The youths staged a violent protest in Gaya Local Government area of Kano State before seizing the properties belonging to Senator Kabiru Gaya, and another owned by Abdulahi Gaya, the member representing Gaya federal constituency. They said their they were angry because the lawmakers failed to provide water, electricity, jobs and roads, as they promised before their elections in 2015.

The people have been pushed and pressed to the wall and have no more breeding space so, they are fighting back now.
I will not be surprised to see the same repeating itself across the country. It is high time the people reclaim what the government is unable to get from the looters.
I have no pity for Gaya.
Why does he build a constituentcy office for himself? Why not make it something that can be taken over by whoever will replace him? He is insensitive to the suffering of the poor that voted for him.
