Potential Deadly Clash Averted at Sabongari, Kano..Over Alcoholic Beverages

The timely intervention of security agents averted what could have been a bloody day in Sabon Gari area of Kano state.
It all started along France Road on Monday, when a truck loaded with alcoholic beverages from Kaduna escaped been impounded by men of the HISBAH (The Islamic “Police”) . The Driver’s luck ran out when he was intercepted along France Road by Ibo Road by men of the HISBAH.
In the process of impounding the drinks by members of the HISBAH, some youths of southern origin, trooped out in their numbers in n attempt to prevent the truck loaded with beer from been impounded by members of the HISBAH. The scene degenerated into a hot argument between them.

Pandemonium almost broke out between the irate youths and members of the HISBAH board, as the youths claimed that the goods has  already entered their territory (Sabongari) and the HISBAH had no right to arrest the truck loaded with beer.
To show, who was in charge The HISBAH smashed the windscreen of the truck and also deflated all the tyres before the intervention of the security agents who intervened.
The HISBAH members were allowed by the security agents to tow the truck to their headquarters.
