Reps Hold Valedictory Session For Tambuwal as He Step Down as Speaker

The House of Representatives on Wednesday May 27, 2015 held a valedictory session in honour of its former Speaker,  Aminu Tambuwal, who has been elected Sokoto State governor.

The event held after Tambuwal had on Tuesday May 26, handed over to his Deputy, Emeka Ihedioha, who will lead the House till June 6, when the Seventh National Assembly will wind down.

Tambuwal will mount the saddle as Sokoto State governor on Friday May 29, 2015.

Tambuwal handed over power to Ihedioha to avoid a constitutional if he takes the oath of office as governor while he is still Speaker of the House of Representatives.
