Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Genort Rohr, is set to submit his list of players to be invited for a training camp in France next month.
Rohr has been working round the clock to ensure he has the best set of players who will train in France for two weeks leading up to an AFCON 2019 qualifier at home against South Africa in June.
It was gathered that he and his assistants have been studying scouting reports which cover as many as 55 possible players, including a couple of fresh names.
However, the technical crew is having big concern over some of the regular stars like Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Ahmed Musa, who are not enjoying regular first-team football at their respective clubs.
“The list of invitees for the France camp will be announced next week,” an official informed
“It is not expected to be much different from the players the coach has worked with in recent times, but we should expect a handful of new call-ups.”
It is also understood that Rohr will give more players from the NPFL a chance to stake a claim in his team.
Top of the domestic league stars on the radar are leading hotshot Stephen Odey, Alhassan Ibrahim ‘Muazam’, who has netted 10 goals for Akwa United this season, with goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa again in the mix.
Rohr has watched Odey in action for MFM FC, while his assistants have been at various league venues also taking down notes.
The training camp will open on May 24 on the French Island of Corsica, where the Eagles will play a test game with the local selection.
