Barcelona magician Lionel Messi has reportedly asked the club’s board to cash in on Frenchman Ousmane Dembele at the end of the ongoing season in the La Liga.
Ousmane Dembele joined the Catalan giants from Borussia Dortmund just last summer in a huge deal worth £135m.
But his first season has been far from smooth with form and fitness issues affecting the youngster’s progress at the club.
The Frenchman has managed to score only two goals this season in all competitions.
According to Don Balon, Messi believes it is best for Dembele to seek an exit from the Nou Camp.
Dembele has been linked with a switch to Anfield with the Reds ready to bolster their attack and spend the £142m Barcelona paid them for Philippe Coutinho in January 2018.
