The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up 4 places in the latest FIFA ranking released by the Federation of International Football Associations.
The Super Eagles are now ranked 60th in the world, from their previous 64th position. The major factor in the upward movement in the ranking was the Eagles’ 2-1 victory over Zambia in the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Ndola earlier this month.
Cote D’Ivoire remain the highest ranked African team in 31st position, while Nigeria is the 11th best ranked team in Africa.
On the world stage, Argentina are the number one ranked team in the world. Germany, Brazil, Belgium and Colombia make up the rest of the top 5.
