The Super Eagles had their first training yesterday ahead of Thursday’s friendly against Senegal with new invitees, Tyrone Ebuehi (ADO Den Haag), Chidozie Awaziem (FC Porto, Portugal) and Noah Joel Bazee (Hannover 96,) quick in integrating into the team as Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, took the players on light walk out at The Hive training ground of Barnet FC.
Rohr had only 16 players in training, while others including Oghenekaro Otebo, goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa were still expected to join the camp latest today (Wednesday).
Chelsea star, Victor Moses who showed up in camp on Monday with a medical report was excused by the Rohr after proof that he was nursing an injury.
The players who were part of training yesterday morning included Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu, Moses Simon, Kenneth Omeruo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi.
Others are Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Isaac Success, goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, Leon Balogun and William Troost- Ekong.
The technical crew would have a full house with the expected arrival of the rest of invited players last night, including Uche Henry Agbo, Abdullahi Shehu, Elderson Echiejile, Kingsley Madu and Kayode Olarewaju, who replaced Victor Osimhen.
The Super Eagles will take on Senegal on Thursday and then on Monday a repeat of the AFCON 2013 final against Burkina Faso. Both matches will be at the Hive Stadium of Barnet Football Club
