Tajudeen Obasa Condemns Abuja Bomb Blasts, Urges Support for Security Agencies

by on October 6, 2015

The lawmaker representing Ojo Federal Constituency at the lower legislative chamber, Hon. Tajudeen Obasa has condemned in totality the devilish acts of the Boko Haram terrorist group, following the recent bombings by the sect that left many casualties.
Obasa, a member of the Peoples Democratic Parties (PDP) urged Nigerians to remain law abiding and be supportive to the security agencies in assisting them with relevant information that could help kill the virus of insurgency fast.
In a statement released on Monday, the lawmaker pleaded with security agencies to make it a priority to protect the identities of those who have made themselves their sources, through information.
The statement reads “There is no miracle to crime prevention, information is key to intelligence gathering. Government is not those appointed or elected, both leaders and followers are part of the government. The struggle to stop insurgency must be our collective effort”
” Nigerians are good citizens, those that engage in crime are not residing in the moon, they reside among us. I strongly believe the people are willing to give necessary information to the  security agencies but the major problem is fear of leaking their identities. It will be good if the current leadership of various security agencies can adopt a well organized mechanism to manage information with utmost confidentiality”
