Anthony Olarenwaju Awotoye, popularly known as Tony Tetuila has dumped music for politics. The “My Car” coroner is currently planning to run for a seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Tetuila joins the elite rank of Nigerian entertainers like 9ice, Kate Henshaw, Desmond Elliot and others who are rumoured to be gunning for elective positions.

It has been reported that Tetuila’s posters are currently visible in every street and corner in Irepodun Local Government area of Kwara State where he hails from.

The former member of the famous Remedies group, which included Eddy Remedy and Edris Abdulkarim, is seen spotting a blonde hair on his campaign poster, a development that has generated serious criticism from colleagues and the general public, implying his unseriousness. But in what appears to be a swift volte-face, he has officially unveiled a reasonably better picture where he has a native cap on his dead while he’s dressed in a blue ankara fabric.

Tetuila played a prominent role in the re-election campaign of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State.
