Former Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, has praised Nigeria international defender, William Troost-Ekong, following his impressive display for Belgian club, A.A Gent.
Troost-Ekong has returned to parent club, Gent, after a loan spell at Norwegian club FK Haugesund.
“Another strong wall in the making. Keep going strong bro @wtroostekong.naija is blessed. So glad I had a game with you,” Enyeama tweeted while making reference to a 2017 AFCON qualifier against Chad in June 2015 in Kaduna both players were involved in.
Ekong was rock-solid for Gent in their 1-0 win this weekend over Sporting Charleroi.
Compatriot, Moses Simon played for 64 minutes, while another Nigerian, Samuel Kalu, gave assist for the only goal of the game.
