An armed suspect was arrested after fatally shooting at least two people in southern Germany, police said Friday.
A woman was killed in Tiefenthal, Bavaria, and a man riding a bicycle was slain in nearby Rammersdorf, police said in a statement.
The gunman fled in a silver Mercedes convertible. Police warned members of the public not to approach the driver.
A police spokesman in Ansbach later confirmed that the suspect had been detained.
At least two other people were shot at or threatened with a weapon but neither were hurt, authorities said.
