The national coordinator of the Youth Movement for Change (YMC), Lekan Osunleti, has lauded the Federal Government’s youth-centred programmes, You-Win and SURE-P, as having contributed to the growth of many small businesses in Nigeria.
Osunleti made the submission in Ibadan, Oyo State, recently and added that youths would vote for President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term because they would want the sustenance of the youth-focused programmes.
He stated that if the programmes were sustained by re-electing Jonathan into office, a better future and greater nation would be achieved. He said that his group was poised to convince Nigerians in the South-West that Jonathan was the best option ahead of the February elections.
Also speaking was the general secretary, Adeleke Onososen, who said that Jonathan has proved himself competent despite the challenges of insurgency and pressure from opposition parties.
Onososen said YMC was giving him support not because of money neither did they support him because of religious or ethnic reasons but to enable him do more in office and because he is tested and trusted.
